Are you trying to find it? Do you know that It has found you? I know that loneliness, fear, doubt, and the absence of joy can set in but there is hope. I have experienced the love of God in my life, but before I did, He felt very absent. Even though there were signs all around telling me of Him. So how did I encounter love? Love found me, called me by my name and waited on me.
There was a time when I heard the voice of God loud and clear as day. I had such a profound tone and distinct signature. I realized this voice would ask me to be brave and do things that even my elders were not doing even though they preached it. He would ask me to stand and live what I learned from Him in church and at school even when my friends would not join me. He asked me to shine my light and I was nervous about it because I felt alone doing it. I hesitated, doubted, feared and lost my ability to shine.
After a while I realized that it was my denial of God that made him seem so distant. I wanted to be close to him again. Knowing right and doing right brings great gratification; feelings of joy, assurance and satisfaction.
How do I get back? Love never left. I had to believe again that what God said about me is true, all the promises He gave to me are mine, His Holy Scriptures are sure. So despite what I see and what I feel, I must believe His words.
Love will help me; God has found me and will never let go of me. So I will not let go of Him.
He is holding you too, looking after you too, loving you too. God say, “consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Luke 12:27”
God is making sure that flowers are taken care of. How much more you? We do not see Him tend to the flowers, but His word says He does. He is here and He wants to love on you.
